Christmas concert, extra rehearsal, tickets and other details.

Hi Everyone,

I heard from a few of you that we hadn’t yet sent out the time and place of our Christmas Show, so, here it is, along with some other information.

The concert (Saturday, December 12^th) will be held in Divadlo/Theater ‘U Hasičů’ [www.cbox.cz / divadlohasicu].  It is located about 2 blocks from Náměstí Mírů, towards Vinohardy.  The address is Římská 45, 120 00 Praha 2,  Phone: 222-518-716.

The show is at 6:00 (2 hours long, ending at 8:00, reception to follow).  However, we will be doing a run-through with the band, and familiarizing ourselves with how the whole show will flow prior to that.  You will have to be there at 2:30.   We will also be asking a certain few of you for help in completing some of the tasks that have to be addressed.

For those of you that haven’t performed with us yet, the dress for the show is all black, with a nice dress shirt, and pants (no skirts or dresses please) and black dress shoes.  We are thinking about asking you to accessorize with some color, but we’ll get back to you on that.

It appears that our only chance to have an extra rehearsal is on Saturday, December 5^th, 9:00-12:30 or so.  As I said at the rehearsal, I’m sure a number of you won’t be able to make this rehearsal, but, we definitely need it, so, do your best to be there.

At our last rehearsal on the 9^th, we’re hoping to rehearse the show with the band that will be performing with us.  That rehearsal will start early (6:00) and end at 9:00 instead of 8:30.  Again, we know that any changes in time are problematic for some of you, and so, again, just do what you can.

We also would like to rehearse until 9:00 for the remainder of our rehearsals (two of them plus the 9^th).

We apologize for the situation.  We’re behind schedule (our fault), and we just want to do the best we can in getting you prepared and comfortable with the show.  You’re doing well, and we’re sure that everything will come off nicely in the end.  You should now have an idea of the repertoire, and all we need is repetition.

Again, we need everyone to sell 6 tickets to insure that we sell out the show and cover costs.  Please do your best to meet the quota.  We have the tickets in our possession.  It is reserved seating, so, those who get their tickets early have first choice on seating.

Ok.  I hope you’re looking at (and listening to) the music.  Recording the rehearsals and listening to it works well, if you haven’t yet done it.  If you don’t have a way to do that, talk to someone in your section who is recording, and see if you can get the files from them.
